The Central Library has been functioning since 1988 and is housed in a separate three-storied library building named 'Saraswat Bhavan'. It spans approximately 5100 sq. meters, with a reading area of about 1500 sq. meters. The library holds a strong collection in science, social sciences, and humanities, particularly in subjects such as botany, chemistry, computer science, economics, environmental science, history, food science & nutrition, management, mathematics, microbiology, political science, religion, philosophy, Vedic studies, and zoology.
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on working days (same as the university). Circulation: 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
The Central Library has been computerized since June 2003 with its own server and Library LAN, supported by UGC-INFLIBNET's financial and technical assistance. Housekeeping operations are computerized using SOUL 3.0 software.
The functioning, membership, and services follow the 'Library Rules' 1997.
