Library’s Database on Internet

The Server computer manages Databases of all the collections and we continuously submit it to the INFLIBNET Centre (UGC), Gandhinagar which is accessible on website under the option of Union Database/INDCAT.  The Union Database/INDCAT is a centralized catalogue for books, serials, theses and subject experts concerned with approx. 175 universities.  Hence, OPAC facility available within the library is also accessible on Internet. 

SHODHGANGA: A Reservoir of Indian Theses

The UGC Notification (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D Degree, Regulation, 2009) dated 1st June 2009 mandates submission of electronic version of theses and dissertations by the researchers in universities with an aim to facilitate open access to Indian theses and dissertations to the academic community world-wide. As per the Regulation, the responsibility of hosting, maintaining and making the digital repository of Indian Electronic Theses and Dissertation (called "Shodhganga"), accessible to all institutions and universities, is assigned to the INFLIBNET Centre.  The University has signed MoU with the INFLIBNET Centre and also authorized Dr Ashwini Tiwari (Librarian In-Charge) as Coordinator for uploading Ph.D. Theses at the INFLIBNET Portal.  The readers may explore the for studying 67000 full text Ph.D. Theses, 2100 synopses (Shodhgangotri) contributed by 231 universities.

The readers may access E – Resources / Digital Library Consortium as provided by the INFLIBNET Centre (UGC) over the campus wise networking, as available at 1GB NKN / NMEICT Connectivity.  The presently available E - Resources are:

Institutional Repository

A specific computer is prepared at the LINUX operating system platform having DSpace (Open Source Software for creating institutional repository).  The I.R. (Institutional Repository) will possess publications of faculty members, syllabus, question papers, etc.
