Welcome to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer (MDSUA) was established in the year 1987 by an Act of Rajasthan State Assembly (Act No. 38 of 1987). This University was established after the bifurcation of the University of Rajasthan, the University was positioned with the aspiration to be a University for Colleges. Now, it has developed into a strong academic Higher Education Institute offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and doctoral programmes across multiple disciplines. The University is funded by the Rajasthan State Government. The University caters to the needs of imparting quality education to all, especially those belonging to humble socio-economic background and seeking quality education.
In this short span of time, the University has emerged as one of the top academic institutions by adopting cutting-edge technology to impart knowledge for global outreach. The University is one of the fastest-growing and flourishing institutes of higher education in Rajasthan.
In the last 38 years of its journey, the University has emerged as a green and pollution-free campus which promises to provide an aesthetic and salubrious environment to nurture and optimize academics, research, and holistic development by engaging the students and staff members in various sports and cultural activities that are crucial for maintaining the well-being of the students and nurturing their potentials. Currently, Prof. Suresh Kumar Agrawal (who took charge on the Honorable 23rd July, 2025) is the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
