Introduction: The Sindhu Shodh Peeth was established on 21-9-2015 in the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswti University campus as a Research Centre. In this connection, a MOU was made on 8th July 2015 between the National Council of Promotion of Sindhi Language, New Delhi and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswti University, Ajmer. In pursuance of the proposal, a decision was taken to establish the Sindhu Shodh Peeth for undertaking teaching and research programs on Sindhi Studies at the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer , Rajasthan.

Thrust Area:- The Thrust area of Sindhu Shodh Peeth will be research, teaching, translation and extension activities etc. through Sindhi, English and Hindi Languages.

Objectives:- The objective of Sindhu Shodh Peeth is to provide research facilities for students, academicians, intellectuals to undertake studies and research work on the subjects related to Sindhi civilization (Mohan-jo-darro & Harrapa), Sindhi language & Literature, Sindhi Art & Culture, Social starata of Sindhi Population & History of Sindhi population.

Functions:- These objectives shall be achieved not only by conducting research and teaching, but also by organizing Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, Publication work, financial support to minor research project and other similar academic activities.
Future Planning:- In the coming future the Sindhu Shodh Peeth is going to start the following academic courses on the "Sindhi culture & civilization".
1. Certificate course (Duration 6 months)
2. Diploma course (Duration One year)
3. Ph.D. (Eligibility & Admission process will be as per University Rules).
