Keeping in mind the burning issue of population growth all over the world and especially in India, School of Population Resources Environment and Development (SPREAD) was established, which was the first such department in any of the Universities of Rajasthan to provide education in the area of population studies. Later in the year 1995, the Department of Population Studies got its present form as a separate department. The department is being successfully operated form last 25 years. The Department of Population Studies conducts postgraduate courses in the subject of population studies with a postgraduate degree.
