Welcome to the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Guest House
Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is having a University Guest House in the foots of Aravali Hills in a healthy environmental and pollution free area, which makes the stay of the Academicians, scholars and other persons visiting the university comfortable and joyful. It was built during the tenure of Dr. P.L. Chaturvedi, Ex Vice Chancellor of this University and was inaugurated by Hon'ble His Excellency Shri Bali Ram Bhagat, Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of this University on 13th Oct 1996.
The main building besides Dormitory and Dining hall has 16 rooms, 1 AC Special Suite and 3 AC VIP suites. The University Grants Commission has given assistance on building this Guest House. It is situated on the Pushkar By Pass Road, near Jaipur - Ajmer National Highway No. 8. Jodhpur stone has been used in this building with traditional Rajasthan outlook similar to the buildings erected in the main University Campus.
It has an inner courtyard with a green lawn where guests may enjoy the winter sunshine or relax during the warm summer evenings. Round the clock services are provided by the Guest House.

Rules Governing the Use of the Guest House
Eligibility
- Members of the Board of Management, Academic Council, Faculty Members, Board of Studies, and other Statutory Bodies, Selection Committees etc. of the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University.
- Members of the staff of M.D.S. University, Ajmer, and their families on arrival to join duty in the University for a stipulated period of time.
- Members of the Teaching Staff of affiliated colleges coming to Ajmer on University/Official business.
- Visiting professors and persons invited by the University to deliver lectures in the University.
- Officers and teachers of other Universities Colleges and National Bodies like UGC.
- Guests of the teachers, officers, employees, and Retired employees of M.D.S. University, Ajmer.
- Teachers/Visiting fellows/project assistants and visitors related to Research Projects.
- Officers of the Government Semi-Government Department and Local Bodies.
- Persons/parties specially permitted by the Vice Chancellor.
- The Guest House is not meant for the general public unless allowed by the Registrar or Vice Chancellor.
Rates/Tariff
The following rates for various types of available rooms are as follows (w.e.f. 07/10/2025):

Prior booking of rooms is mandatory. The letter of invitation from the University must be attached with the booking form for Category A.
Rules for Stay in the Guest House
- For block booking, 50% payment to be made at least two weeks in advance.
- Charges for one day shall be levied if rooms are not occupied/remain unutilized after booking.
- AC Suite will be provided to guests with permission of competent authority.
- Normal stay is limited to 3 days, extended up to 7 days with the approval of the competent authority.
- The Guest House management may cancel bookings or offer alternative accommodations.
- Guests are advised not to leave valuables in the room. The Guest House is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of articles belonging to guests.
- Check-out timings are 24 hours.
- Rates and rules are subject to revision by the Guest House Advisory Committee and approval from the University.
- The Guest House will not be rented for marriage parties except for University employees’ family.
Conditions for Reservation
- All reservations should be sent in writing well in advance with the required details.
- One day's room rent is required in advance. The advance is non-refundable.
- Cancellations should be made 48 hours in advance for a refund of the advance.
- No credit will be allowed unless authorized through the Finance Officer.
Duration of Stay
Ordinarily, a guest would be allowed to stay for seven days unless otherwise permitted by the Vice Chancellor.
Catering Conditions
- Catering services are available only for the persons occupying the Guest House rooms.
- No outside catering is permitted.
- Guests can order meals at specified times:
- Bed Tea: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- Breakfast: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
- Lunch: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
- Dinner: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Meals will not be served between 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and after 9:30 PM.
- Alcoholic drinks and intoxicants are strictly prohibited in the Guest House.
General Rules
- Guests must show and deposit a copy of ID proof before occupying accommodation.
- All bills must be paid at the counter at the time of presentation.
- Guests are required to fill the visitors' register before occupying the room.
- Guests are not allowed to accommodate their own guests in their rooms without permission.
- Guests will be responsible for any damages to goods, furniture, or equipment.
- The Guest House has the right to refuse admission and amend these rules as needed.
- Alcohol, wine, and intoxicants are strictly prohibited in the Guest House.
- Legal jurisdiction for disputes is at Ajmer.
