Established in the year 2000, the Department of Commerce at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer is determined to make a significant contribution to the economic and social advancement of the country. The department is dedicated to becoming a centre for commerce education that develops moral leaders, creative thinkers, and socially conscious professionals with strong analytical abilities, an entrepreneurial spirit, and an understanding of international business.

The department fosters an environment that combines theoretical excellence with practical application, research, and industry exposure, while providing high-quality education based on modern business, management, and commerce practices. It also aims to instill in students the values of integrity, professionalism, and innovation, equipping them with digital competencies, analytical thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and effective communication abilities.

Students are imbibed with a sense of social responsibility, encouraging them to contribute to the collective well-being of the community. The department functions in alignment with the university's vision of integrating modern commerce education with Indian cultural ethos and Vedic wisdom, thereby promoting a holistic approach to business and economic practices.
